‘Heavy rain may cause some flooding and disruption!’ Met Office issue weather warning for Lincolnshire and Rutland
The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning - where heavy rain could cause ‘flooding and disruption’.
Although there is a ‘small chance’ this may occur, members of the public are being asked to be vigilant tomorrow (Monday, September 30).
Heavy rainfall on Thursday night caused flooding in parts of the county, including Stamford, while strong winds felled a tree in Skegness.
Tomorrow’s warning - which says there could be heavy rainfall between 8am and 3am on Tuesday - covers the East Midlands, including all of Lincolnshire and Rutland.
“There is a small chance that heavy rain may cause some flooding and disruption on Monday,” a Met Office statement read.
The statemernt warned of a chance of power cuts, flooding and difficult driving conditions and some road closures
“There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads,” the statement added.
